USD Safe serves as the official safety application for the University of South Dakota, uniquely integrating with the institution's safety and security systems. Developed in collaboration with University Police, the app aims to enhance the safety of students, faculty, and staff on campus. Users are kept informed through timely safety alerts and have immediate access to vital safety resources.

The features of USD Safe are designed to provide comprehensive support in various situations:

 <li>Friend Walk: Users can share their location with a friend who can monitor their safe transit home in real-time.</li>
 <li>Emergency Contacts: This enables users to contact the appropriate services for both emergencies and non-emergencies within the University of South Dakota area.</li>
 <li>Tip Reporting: Multiple channels are provided for reporting safety or security concerns directly to University of South Dakota security personnel.</li>
 <li>Safety Notifications: Users receive immediate notifications and instructions from campus safety during on-campus emergencies.</li>
 <li>Emergency Plans: The app includes guidance on what actions to take in case of an emergency.</li>
 <li>Chat with Security: Users can communicate live with safety staff at the University of South Dakota through a chat function.</li>
 <li>Campus Safety Resources: Access to essential safety resources is centralized within a single, user-friendly application.</li>
